Thomas is a musculoskeletal physiotherapist with a sports injury speciality and an interest in acupuncture.
Qualifications
Thomas qualified as a physiotherapist and acupuncturist in 1998 from the University of Nottingham. After significant experience, he completed an MSc in Sports Injury from the University of Sheffield in 2006. Thomas is one of only 17 Certified Mulligan manual therapists in the UK.
Experience
Thomas is currently physiotherapist with the British Amateur Boxing Association. He has previously provided physiotherapy for British Cycling (Paracycling team) and the Lawn Tennis Association. As Head Physiotherapist for GB Wheelchair Rugby, Thomas worked at the Paralympic Games and at World and European Championship competitions.
From 2002–2005 he was responsible for the Academy and reserve teams at Sheffield United Football Club. He took over George Chia’s clinic in 2010.
Interests
Thomas sings with the Sheffield Philharmonic Choir.
